Maintence Electrician

Description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

1. Maintain all plant machinery, machine tools and equipment in good operating condition, direct the installation of new machinery and attachments and the re-installation of present equipment in new location.

2. Determine causes of machinery trouble, plan repair methods, time required, and after consultation with foreman, order replacement parts and materials.

3. Tear down and make repairs to large, heavier and more complicated machine tools. Replace worn or broken parts, scarp and fit moving parts for free running; adjust clutches.

4. Operate maintenance type machines, for example: band saw, drill presses, grinders, engine lathe, etc. in conjunction with maintenance repairs.

5. Install or assist with the installation, setup and anchoring of present and new equipment. Welding, electrical, carpentry and sheet metal skills are required.

6. Reassemble machines and operate on tryouts. Requires knowledge of all operating parts, methods and practices of preventive machine maintenance.


7. Ensure that all proper preventative maintenance paperwork is completed correctly and entered into the preventative maintenance system.


8. Advanced troubleshooting may need to be performed by an outside technician if necessary.

9. Coordinate the installation, leveling, and setup of new machinery and equipment; the anchoring and leveling of present machines and equipment in new locations.

10. Assist with the installation of steel structures for blowers, tanks, overhead motors and other types of suspended equipment, as directed.

11. Perform scheduled servicing of machine transmission systems, belting, power and monorail systems, hoists, etc. as directed.

12. Work from layouts, diagrams, sketches, drawings, and general instructions. Use scale, levels, calipers and precision measuring equipment.

13. Make electrical repairs to machine tools, powered hand tools, other powered electrical equipment and/or any electrical repairs in plant and/or office as required.

14. Hook up and secure electrical wiring, switches, fixtures, etc. to electrical equipment as necessary in relation to mechanical function of repair.

15. Maintain all fire equipment and transformers. Perform minor maintenance of heating and cooling equipment. May assist outside vendors with repairs.

16. Maintain plant buildings, grounds and equipment to satisfaction of immediate supervisor. Report any repairs required to immediate supervisor.

17. Setup schedules, properly label, store, solidify and track hazardous waste streams from start to finish as per instructions.

18. Adheres to all codes and safety regulations as established by governing agencies (for example: OSHA, UL, ANSI, etc).


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOBS

The following criteria are established as a minimum for all jobs and new hires.

1. Shop Trade Knowledge/Education with a High School diploma or equivalent

The basic knowledge or “scholastic content” essential as background or training preliminary to learning the job. (As an example: A CNC job would require an individual to have some CNC knowledge/education, while a non-CNC job would require an individual to have some machining knowledge/education.)

2. Drawings/Specs

The reading and comprehension of drawings/specifications and/or written instructions.

3. Measuring Instruments

The correct reading and recording of measuring instruments that are required in the job

4. Shop Math

The required mathematical abilities to perform the necessary functions of the job

5. Knowledge of theory and Practice

The basic understanding or knowledge of the required theory and practices needed to perform the job.

6. Demonstrated Ability

A level of demonstrated ability needed to be able to perform all of the above functions of the job.
