Description
The purpose of the Assembly Machine Setter position is to perform various assembly machine set-ups in the Assembly dept. on a variety of automated assembly machines. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate range of $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform various assembly machine set-ups, selecting tooling and grinding tooling and peens.
- Perform minor repairs as necessary and detect machine problems, reporting all unusual problems to the Line Coordinator or Supervisors.
- Assist machine operators on particular problems or machine adjustments as assigned by supervision or Line Coordinator.
- Alert Line Coordinator/Team Leads to any quality related issues.
- May be required to fill-in for Line Coordinator as needed.
- Wears personal protective equipment as required by job and follows all safety rules and regulations.
- Participate in new product development and process improvement activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Train others on how to perform set-ups and assembly processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Comply with all IATF 16949 and other required Customer specifications
- Available to assist second shift team with questions, daily problem solving and other activities

Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and micrometers.
- Minimum of 2+ years hands on experience working with various automated machines in a manufacturing environment
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
100% of time is spent on factory floor. Personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed while in manufacturing locations.
Potential physical demands include, but are not limited to walking, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Potential sensory demands include but are not limited to hearing and seeing.
