Position Overview
The Controller / Site Finance Partner is the senior finance leader for the Glendale, Wisconsin manufacturing plant. This high-impact, individual-contributor role is responsible for site financial performance, plant controlling, FP&A, cost accounting, compliance, and decision support for a ~$30M operation. The role partners closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to drive financial discipline, operational insight, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on SAP ERP transformation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own site-level financial performance including monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and corporate requirements.
- Maintain and improve cost accounting, standard costing, product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Act as site finance lead for SAP ERP transformation activities including process design, testing, implementation support, and stabilization.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, controls, and reporting through SAP and related tools.
- Train and coach non-financial leaders on financial concepts to improve accountability and decision quality.
- Identify financial risks, cost overruns, and cost reduction opportunities through detailed financial and operational analysis.
- Lead annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-range (3-year) financial planning processes.
- Serve as a key business partner to the Plant Manager, supporting capital investment, make/buy, inventory, SIOP, and profitability decisions.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support plant initiatives and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain a strong internal controls and SOX-compliant environment and support audits and regulatory compliance.
- Develop financial dashboards and operational metrics using SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
- Participate as an active member of the plant leadership team, contributing to operational and strategic planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in plant controlling, FP&A, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP required; SAP transformation or implementation experience strongly preferred
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- Power BI experience preferred
