Description
The Contract Specialist supports Regal Rexnord’s enterprise Strategic Sourcing function by assisting with commercial contracting and related process improvements. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability, the role is responsible for managing and supporting the contract lifecycle in alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.
This position includes responsibility for contract intake, review, and negotiation, as well as coordinating internal stakeholder input to support business objectives. The Contract Specialist works closely with cross‑functional teams to help ensure contract negotiations achieve strong commercial outcomes while appropriately managing risk.
This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on role suited for an experienced contracts professional who is comfortable operating independently, identifying and assessing risk, and escalating issues thoughtfully and appropriately when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contract Support: Review, negotiate, and redline NDAs and commercial agreements, with a primary focus on procurement of goods, and manage negotiations through redlines, internal stakeholder discussions and supplier engagement.
Sourcing Partnership & Risk Advisory: Serve as a key legal partner to the sourcing team, advising on legal and commercial risk, aligning agreements to organizational standards, and supporting development of a resilient supply chain and achievement of company objectives.
Contracting Standards & Compliance: Apply and counsel on contract policies, standards, and internal controls to support compliance, sourcing strategies, continuous improvement initiatives and related regulatory requirements.
Cross‑Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across a decentralized, global organization with multiple business divisions.
Risk Identification & Resolution: Identify commercial and legal risks, advise on mitigation options, support negotiations and dispute resolution, and escalate risks appropriately in coordination with legal team members.
Process Improvement & Contract Management: Contribute to ongoing enhancements in contracting processes and contract management practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
7–10+ years of experience in contracts management, commercial contracting, or a similar role.
Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing commercial agreements and NDAs, preferably within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Proven support of sourcing or supply chain teams, including contract negotiation related to procurement of goods.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Solid understanding of commercial risk management and negotiation strategy.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, manage a high volume of contracts, prioritize effectively, and escalate issues appropriately.
Comfort interfacing directly with legal colleagues, suppliers, and internal business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience in industrial manufacturing and operating within global, matrixed, or decentralized organizations.
Experience with contract management platforms, such as HighQ or comparable systems.
Interest in or familiarity with AI‑enabled legal or contract technologies.
Additional Details:
Location: Milwaukee, WI or Rosemont, IL
Travel: up to 15% for meetings and negotiations
Hours: Standard business hours with some flexibility required for deadlines and urgent matters
Expected Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
